The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) has just issued a revised IASB work plan dated 31 October 2008. Details are available from the IASB’s website.

More recently, the IASB also announced that a web presentation will be hosted on 13 November 2008. The presentation will introduce the discussion paper on Financial Statement Presentation. There are two sessions to cater for constituents in different time zones. For more information, please refer to the IASB’s website.

Of relevance to members is the recent publication of an educational guidance on the application of fair value measurement when markets become inactive. The guidance is available from the IASB’s website including the significant amounts of research on credit crisis and initiatives to enhance market confidence.
