IAASB issues two consultation papers
The International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) has recently issued two consultation papers, seeking public comment. These two papers address matters of critical topical importance, namely: Auditing Complex Financial Instruments and Assurance of a Greenhouse Gas Statement.
Both papers have long open periods for comment, with the former seeking comments by 15 January 2010, and the latter by 19 February 2010.
CPA Australia will be making submissions on both papers, jointly with the other professional accounting bodies. Members who have views on these papers that they wish to have considered for these submissions should e-mail their comments to auditandassurance@cpaaustralia.com.au two weeks prior to the closing dates for each paper.
